I feel so very fortunate to have known Genne as a lady of grace, humor, artistic vision and a dear friend. Hanging in my living room is a pastel that was my first attempt at pastels, done while a student in one of Genne’s classes offered at the Post House in Ogunquit (Maine). The picture will always remind me of her encouragement of my efforts, and of time wonderfully spent on the coast. Another fond memory of the Post House is waking up and wandering the hallway to the front porch where Genne always had freshly baked little muffins to go with one’s coffee before heading to the beach. She was a gracious, loving and wonderful person. Those who knew Genne were indeed fortunate. My family and I will miss her forever.
