I stopped in for an open house at a great new place, Metal Clay ARTchitects at 6 Emma St., Binghamton. They mostly make jewelry, using a new clay material that when fired leaves solid metal. Very nice pieces were on display, made by both partners and some of their students. They’ve got classes in beginning to advanced jewelry-making starting after the first of the yea,r which are worth looking at http://www.mcARTchitects.com.
On Sunday (Nov. 14), I went to the Second Sunday at the Phelps cello and piano concert at the Phelps Mansion in Binghamton. You hear that word “sparkling” all the time, but pianist Pej Reitz and cellist Hakan Hromek managed to do exactly that … joyfully.
